Thirteen Massey University-led research projects will receive more than $8 million from the Royal Society Te Apārangi annual Marsden Fund announced today by Research, Science and Innovation Minister Dr Megan Woods.
An engagement specialist with more than 18 years' experience in leadership roles in universities in New Zealand, Australia and, most recently, Britain, has been appointed to a new role at Massey University as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Students and Alumni.
Professor Helen Moewaka Barnes, Te Kapotai, Ngapuhi-nui-tonu, has been awarded nearly $5 million to investigate environmental and kaupapa Māori initiatives aimed at providing much needed gains in Māori health outcomes.
